I think it was 2007 when we were testing on the race track in Darwin when we blew a tire, spun out, and proceeded to smack into the guard rail... this tore the last 18" of our shell clean off the back of our car, and left it stuck in the rail - along with $20,000 in solar panels. We jury rigged a new frame, welded it up, wrapped it in plastic and threw on some spare panels - low and behold we qualified and placed top 10 I think.... You're spot on Lucy... lots of stories we never hear and incredible challenges... all that make the problems I now encounter day to day seem like a walk in the park.
