Greenpower Challenge

This year, CUER is building a car to compete in the Greenpower Corporate Challenge, which will take place at Goodwood Motor Circuit on Sunday 25th April, 2010. For this we have the support of Jan Scholtz, through his company TagOn.

The aim of the Greenpower races is to build a car which will complete the farthest distance in a four hour period. Each team is issued with the same type of motor and sets of batteries, but has much freedom over the design of the rest of the car. The series is mainly aimed at teams from secondary schools, but the Corporate Challenge is a unique annual event which pitches the best schools’ vehicles against those designed by companies, and now CUER! Last year’s event included entries from Prodrive, and Jaguar LandRover.

Design of our vehicle, which will be named “TagOn Blue”, is well underway and we are focussing in particular on producing an optimal aerodynamic design. Keep a lookout on this page for updates on our progress.
