The cooking for CUER has been done by a variety of people, and one pleasant evening was done by the mighty Chao Yu, with help from various other people. In his ruthlessly efficient manner (the man is an admin machine*) he instigated a system of big chef, little chef. The big chef is in charge, and the little chef will help out, for instance by chopping veg, and learning the skills of the big chef. A very basic master-apprentice arrangement.
One night in the outback, Charlie Watt was trused to be big chef, with Anthony as little chef. This was a mistake.
Charlie promised that there would be plenty of food, and he wasn’t wrong. He managed to cook enough rice to feed the whole of Australia. Okay, so that is an exaggeration, but certainly the whole of Queensland.
What is more embarrassing, though, is that he didn’t even cook it right! Half of it was not cooked, and the other half was so well done that it had turned into a congealed gelatinous mush.

Too much time working with composites has taken its toll...
I personally think it was a ploy to get him out of cooking again…but it won’t work - in my book, practice makes perfect
Big thanks to Charlie really though, and all the others who have cooked. The standard and variety of food has been pretty good, especially given that some of it has been prepared in the outback!
